Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the StudioHand app ("StudioHand", "the app", "we", "us") handles your information. StudioHand is published by Robert William Stout IV.

The short version

StudioHand is built to be private. Your sessions, songs, takes, notes, photos and studio records are stored on your device. We do not have an account system, we do not have servers that store your content, and the app does not send your library to us. We do not sell your personal data. The app does not track you and contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, usage analytics, or the content you create in the app. StudioHand has no login and no first-party backend that receives your data.

Information stored on your device

Everything you create in StudioHand — sessions, songs, takes, cues, lyrics, photos, voice notes and settings — is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database. You control this data. Export & Backup offers reports, data exports and backup options. Read the scope shown for each option: a report is not a complete backup, and externally referenced media may need to be copied separately. Deleting the app removes its local app data; copies you exported or included in device backups remain in those destinations.

Device permissions

StudioHand asks for the following permissions only when you use the related feature. The app processes this information locally unless you choose to export or share it.

• Camera — to capture reference photos. To import existing photos or a studio logo, the system photo picker gives the app only the items you select; StudioHand does not request access to your entire photo library.
• Microphone — to record voice notes on takes, and to analyse pitch locally for the Live Bar tuner. Voice notes are stored locally; the tuner does not upload microphone audio.
• Notifications — optional local reminders enabled in Settings. Reminder text can contain song, software or gear names and revision notes. You control Lock Screen previews in system notification settings.

You can grant or revoke any of these in your device's Settings → Privacy & Security.

Purchases

StudioHand is a paid app. Apple processes the payment through the App Store; we never see your payment details, and Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy. The app contains no in-app purchases in this version. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first to describe exactly what changes.

Third parties

The app contains no advertising, analytics or third-party crash-reporting SDK. Apple provides the operating system, the App Store and any device backup services you enable. When you export or share files, the destination you choose may process or store those files under its own terms. Opening support or privacy links uses your browser and an internet connection.

Support and this website

If you email support, we receive your email address and the message or attachments you choose to send, and use them to respond to your request. Please do not send session backups or private client information unless it is needed for support. You may ask us to delete support correspondence by emailing the address below, subject to any applicable recordkeeping obligations.

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Visiting it involves network information such as your IP address and browser request details being processed to deliver and protect the site. This is separate from the offline app. No page on this website loads remote fonts, analytics or third-party scripts — the display typeface is served from this domain.

Children's privacy

StudioHand is a professional tool intended for general audiences and does not collect personal information through the app, including from children under 13.

Data retention and deletion

Because your content lives on your device, you control its retention. Delete unwanted records in the app, or delete the app to remove its local app data. Export and verify a backup first if you want to keep your work. Delete exported copies and device backups separately using the destination's own controls.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and posting the revised policy at this URL.
